The present invention relates to a device for controlling a motor capable of preventing the damage of a driving circuit caused by a voltage generated in the motor when the motor is rotated by external power in control stop of the motor. The device for controlling the motor (1) comprises a driving circuit (10), a relay (7), a rotation number detection unit (6), and a control unit (4). The driving circuit drives the motor (21). The relay is positioned between a battery (3) and the driving circuit (10); and supplies a current to the driving circuit (10) from the battery (3) in an on-state; and blocks the current in an off-state. The rotation number detection unit detects the number of rotation of the motor (21). The control unit controls the motor (21) by operating the driving circuit (10). When the number of rotation of the motor (21) exceeds a predetermined value in the control stop of the motor (21), the control unit (4) turns on a contacted point (7b) of the relay (7).
