[Problem] To provide: a vehicular arm component which can be shaped quickly and easily by pressing or hemming without welding, can be produced with a high yield rate, is cost effective, and has excellent strength and hardness against the repeated application of compressive and tensile forces; and a production method therefor. [Solution] The arm component for vehicle has a first flange section and a second flange section that protrude from the expanded portion and are formed by aligning first flange parts (9, 10) and second flange parts (11, 12) of a pair of half members (H1, H2) having a cross-section perpendicular to the axis shaped like a hat, and is characterized by the first flange section and the second flange section both extending straight along the axis of a main body (2), and the main body (2) being formed to have a rectangular shape when viewed from the side. |
