Anti-guided missile defence system - has ejectable jamming device to attract and destroy missile

A system for defence against homing guided missiles, having a recognition device in the object ot be protected has the recognition device (11) constructed to determine the velocity direction and distance of the guided missile and to produce signals for a jamming device (2) of programmable drive which produces a heat image to discharge the proximity face of the guided missile. The recognition device (11) signals and heat image are directed against the missile by means of a generator (13). The jamming device can be ejected from the object being defended and thus allows the missile to home onto it before destroying it.
