<p>Data printer for use with endless paper webs without edge perforations employs a line synchronisation impulse generator to ensure precise line by line transport of the paper through the friction drive. The impulse generator (TS, AB) comprises a timing disc (TS) attached to the end of one of the friction drive rollers (W1) and an electro-optic or inductive sensor (AB) with an end slit through which passes the periphery of the disc with its teeth. The rotational movement of the friction drive rollers is controlled by a brake (BR). A dividing circuit receives on the one hand the output of the impulse generator and on the other hand the output of a sensing unit which registers, eg the beginning of an individual web or a start mark.</p> |
