The invention relates to a virtual reality system for the evaluation and treatment of motor disturbances associated with neurodegenerative diseases and age, comprising: a patient module, in turn including glasses (1) which capture the movement of the patient's head and which are provided with a screen device for viewing a virtual environment, reflective markers (2), infrared cameras (3) that capture the position of the reflective markers (2), a communication module (4) which receives the information captured by the glasses (1) and the infrared cameras (3) and which sends said information to processing means (5) that generate the virtual environment; and an expert module including management means (6) for controlling a plurality of variables which modify and evaluate the virtual environment of the patient.
