The server is further configured such that the multiplex signal comprises a plurality of logical channels, with at least one of the logical channels representing multimedia data received from one of the devices on the network. By subsequently tuning into one or more of the logical channels of the transmitted multiplex signal, a device on the local area network can present to a user multimedia data originating from or residing on another device on the network.
