A device for converting wave energy of water surface to electric energy includes a cylindrical body with screw ribs and electric generator placed in the body, its stator is connected to the body, and the rotor has inertial mass as a solid of revolution installed on its shaft. The inertial mass is placed outside the body and is arranged as a cylindrical bushing with screw ribs, those have direction opposite to the ribs of the body.
