A laser apparatus for machining holes without an inlet cone and burrs, and comprising a laser and a focusing system, consists of two coaxially arranged lenses, wherein the first in the light path a long-focus lens is located, and a short-focus lens is located closer to the surface of the workpiece. The long-focus lens is manufactured with a diameter smaller than the diameter of the laser beam, and the short-focus lens is formed as a ring having an inner diameter equal to the diameter of the long-focus lens, while the outer diameter is larger than the diameter of the laser beam.
