PURPOSE: A mandrel for winding materials and a method for winding an edge of a material using the same are provided to smoothly wind the edge of the material in a circular shape. CONSTITUTION: A mandrel for winding materials comprises a shaft (210), a plurality of segments (220), a pressure sensor (230), and a control unit. The shaft is installed at the rotary center of the mandrel, and rotates. The plurality of segments is radially installed at the circumference of the shaft, and the diameter is elastically adjusted. The pressure sensor detects load being applied to each segment. The control unit outputs control commands to the hydraulic control unit by the signals for sensing the load. |
