The present invention relates to an electrowetting display device and a manufacturing method same capable of preventing operation failure, of reducing costs, and of simplifying a process. An aspect of the present invention relates to a manufacturing method of the electrowetting display device comprising: a step of forming a pixel electrode on a circuit board; a step of forming an insulation layer with hydrophobic materials on the pixel electrode; a step of exposing light to the insulation layer and of matching a mask on the insulation layer; a step of processing an upper surface of the insulation layer; a step of forming a partition located on a water repellency layer located on the pixel electrode; and a step of forming an oil layer on the water repellency layer and between the partitions. a side of the water repellency layer and the partition has hydrophobicity. An upper surface of the partition is hydrophile property. The thickness of the partition is thicker than the thickness of the water repellency layer. |
