<p>A device for forcing bungs into beer barrels, consists of a pneumatic cylinder (1) which is suspended by a cable (29) over the barrel, connected to an air compressor, and with an operating handle (4) at the top, and with a vertical tube (7) attached to it, alongside, acting as a magazine for the bungs, so that when operated, a bung falls from the magazine into a horizontal feed chamber (5) at the bottom, and is then forced sideways by a small compressor air cylinder (6) at the end of the horizontal feed chamber, so that it is deposited into a vertical sleeve (2) attached to the bottom of the vertical pneumatic cylinder which is aligned with the bung-hole, so that the bung is forced into the bung hole.</p> |
