The present invention relates to a technology of providing a matching service between users. The method for providing a user matching service according to the present invention comprises the steps of generating a profile quiz related to a first user based on survey reply information received from a first user terminal, transmitting the generated profile quiz and receiving quiz reply information from a second user terminal; recognizing the matching degree between a reply content included in the quiz reply information and the survey reply information and controlling to move a character corresponding to a second user in the predetermined distance toward the character corresponding to the first user according to the matching degree to be displayed; and determining that the first user and the second user are matched to each other if the respective characters corresponding to the first user and the second user are located in the predetermined distance. According to the present invention, the matching degree with a counterpart can be identified through the quiz, and a user can keep in touch with the counterpart only when reaching the matching degree of more than the predetermined basis, thereby avoiding a meaningless meeting with the counterpart and having fun in the process of seeing each other through the quiz about the counterpart.
