PURPOSE: An impurity removing method of lithium transition-metal oxides is provided to extend the lifetime and improve high-temperature resistance of a lithium secondary battery by removing the impurity which is remaining in the lithium transition-metal oxides. CONSTITUTION: An impurity removing method of lithium transition-metal oxides comprises a step of preparing the lithium transition-metal oxides (S1) as a powder or a bulk form; a step of creating an active gas for processing the lithium transition-metal oxides (S2); a step of treating the lithium transition-metal oxides with the active gas which is created (S4). Moreover, the device for removing impurities of the lithium transition-metal oxides comprises a lithium transition metal powder supplying port; an active gas supplying port which produces the active gas for processing the lithium transition-metal oxides by using the plasma as the active gas supplying port; a powdering process part which treats the lithium transition metal powder with the active gas which is created.
