METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFICACY OF REGENERATION OF INJURED PERIPHERAL NERVE STIMULATED BY LIPOFLAVONE AT LATE STAGE IN EXPERIMENT

The method for assessing the efficacy of the regeneration of the injured peripheral nerve stimulated by lipoflavone at the late stage in experiment comprises the examination of the nervous tissues. The standard model of the injury of peripheral nerve is reproduced. Then lipoflavone, lipin, and corvitine are administered paraneurally for ten days. In 12 weeks, the samples are taken for ultrastructural study. The density of the nerve fibers and the angle of their deviation from the axis of the injured nerve are determined. The results are compared with control. The decreased degeneration of the nerves and blood vessels as well as the decreased fibrosis in the injured nerve are indicative of the efficacy of the regeneration of the injured peripheral nerve stimulated by lipoflavone at the late stage in experiment.
