The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a lower support structure for chair which includes a rectangular frame body unit formed by coupling two side frames and front and rear frames and has spring hook units at parts corresponding to the front and rear frames, the method comprising: an arched spring molding step for molding arched springs by bending and molding metal wires into a repeated form in the horizontal direction of an arched shape so as to allow the metal wires to form, in the arched form, a support surface towards the upper surface of the frame body unit; an arched spring heat treatment step for treating the molded arched springs by heat so as to show elasticity in the vertical direction of the support surface; an arched spring coupling step for coupling the heat-treated arched springs to the spring hook units of the front and rear frames, respectively; and a stretchy elastic band coupling step for coupling one or more stretchy elastic bands having both ends coupled to the relevant parts of the side frame in a direction perpendicular to at least one arched spring.
