The intraluminal venal valve disclosed herein aims at the compartimentation of the veins and so at the prevention of the huge blood flow oscillation due to the thrombosis-induced destruction of the valves. The valve, as depicted in fig. A, is composed of the metal skeleton 1 made of self-extendable shape-memory alloy material (nitinol-stent) and composed of two wired rings internally coated by the PTPE ring 2 adhered–stitched up on the first two rings. The nitinol skeleton bears at the upper and lower ring fixing points 3 retaining the device on the vessel’s wall. The valve’s roof is connected to the ring via a least-resistance two-point articulation 4 opened under the influence of the centripetal blood flow and closed either by the blood flow oscillatory motion during breathing or by the intraventricular pressure increase so that the valve’s roof comes in accurate contact with the nitinio ring (PTPE ring). The roof of the valve 5 is composed of two nitinol sheets (fig.B) accomodating its incorporation to a sheath 6 (fig.&Ggr;). Purpose: to prevent venal high blood pressure (meta-thrombotic syndrome, venal insufficiency with legs oedema, varices, and indolent ulcer inciting disability and economic as well as social isolation). |
