Novelty: a protective band for the safe removal of gypsum splints is disclosed. Technical features: the invented protective tape is 0.1mm or 0.5 thick and 2cm to 5cm wide; it is indented to be applied between a natural or synthetic cotton layer and the gypsum splint serving for the final stability of the fracture. Advantages: avoidance of injuries (contrusions or burns) during the cutting of the gypsum splint with use of a saw 2; suppression of fear incited by the saw and so excellent tolerance thereof by children; excellent fitting by physicians and nursing staff due to the flexible metal and the self-adhesive side of the band; no allergic reactions are manifested and no pressure is exerted on the skin upon contact thereof with said band. |
