An authentication method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to reduce a load of a mobile communication system by reducing a reattempt number of a call in a mobile communication terminal. A base station control device(130) transmits an authentication parameter about a mobile communication terminal(110) and RAND value to a base station(120)(S102, S114). The base station transmits a response about the authentication parameter and the RAND value to the base station control device(S104). The base station control device confirms the response(ACK)(S106, S116), and requests to transmit the authentication parameter and the RAND value to the terminal(S108). The authentication parameter and the RAND value are transmitted to the terminal according to the request of the base station(S110, S120). The authentication parameter is set in the terminal(S130). The terminal generates a RANDC value with a received RAND value(S132), and transmits a generated RANDC value and a set authentication parameter to the base station control device through the base station(S136). The base station control device requests an authentication about the terminal to an authentication center(180)(S144). The authentication center performs an authentication about the terminal(S146). |
