The seat (10) has a base (11) that is movable in translation between a usage position according to a vertical axis for allowing a user to sit down, and a raised position for releasing space under the base. The base is mounted integral with a set of side walls (12.1, 12.2) that is movable in translation with regard to a set of side parts (13.1, 13.2). The set of side parts is intended to be mounted on a floor of a vehicle. The base is arranged interdependent with regard to the side walls.
