PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precision machine tool capable of efficiently pouring a coolant to a column, which is thermally stabilized regardless of fluctuations of environmental temperature changes thereby effectively suppressing thermal displacement, and draining the coolant therefrom.SOLUTION: In a precision machine tool, a spindle head 20, which may move in a vertical direction, is provided in a column 14 erected on a bed 10, and a coolant storage space, in which a temperature is controlled, is formed in the column 14. A lower part of the column 14 includes water inlet ports 38a, 38b for introducing a coolant to the coolant storage space, and an upper part of the column 14 includes a first drain port 40 for leading out the coolant to the exterior. The water inlet ports 38a, 38b serve as second drain ports for draining an entire amount of the coolant from the column 14. |
