Disclosed is a mounting method for a visor. In a first step, a main visor member comprising a cavity for a mirror unit is provided. In a second step, the mirror unit is inserted in the cavity. In a third step, a sliding element of the mirror unit is moved at least once from an initial mounting position into an operational position. A sliding movement-limiting means for limiting the maximum sliding movement of the slider is activated and in particular locked once by moving the slider from the mounting position into the operational zone.
