The robot system (1) comprises a plurality of robots (4, 5), information acquisition units (73, 75), and a distribution unit (77). The plurality of robots (4, 5) transfer articles (W) from the conveyance path (2) to which articles (W) are sequentially conveyed, to the prescribed areas (84, 85) in the shipment path (3) from which the articles (W) are sequentially shipped. The information acquisition unit (73) obtains information about imaging areas (61, 62, 63) in the conveyance path (2), the information acquisition unit (75) obtains information about the prescribed areas (84, 85) in the shipment path (3), and the distribution unit (77) distributes the articles (W) to the plurality of robots (4, 5) on the basis of the information about the conveyance path (2) and the shipment path (3), and transfers the articles (W) in accordance with the state of the prescribed areas (84, 85).</p>
