The protector has a material suitable for room separation, hung from a ceiling and provided on a bed e.g. double bed. The material is held around curtains with noise- and light protection effect, and the protector is moved away from the bed and manually or electrically removed. The protector is fastened to the wall, and extended towards the bed upto a bottom part. The curtains are arranged next to each other between the beds, and hung in a side by side manner. The curtains are automatically operated using an electrical remote controller and switch. An independent claim is also included for a method for achieving light- and sound protection in a bed.
