The assembly (3) has two sets of metal sheet slats comprising two sets of pocket recesses, where one of the sets of additional metal sheet slats is similar to the other set of slats. Edges of one of the sets of recesses comprise flux steering regions that extend transverse to the latter set of slats. The slats are arranged sequentially in stack arrangement such that the recesses form a case (8) traversing in an axial direction for receiving a permanent magnet and project the steering regions of the latter set of slats from the stack arrangement and extend the case for receiving the magnet.
