PURPOSE: A remote control device and a controlling method thereof are provided to control various controlled devices using integrated one remote control part. CONSTITUTION: A controlled device(300) comprises a device part, a sensor part, a device interface, and a manipulating part. The sensor part senses a drive control sensing signal for controlling the device part. The device interface transmits the drive control sensing signal and data about a kind of device to drive control data. The manipulating part outputs a signal for controlling the operation of the device part. A control interface(150) receives data for controlling the drive. A signal receiving part(140) protocol encodes the signal received at the control interface. A control part(110) outputs driving control data for controlling the controlled device. A control signal converter(160) decodes the driving control data into a driving data signal. A remote control part transmits the converted signal of the control signal converter through the control interface.
