<p>Provided are a method and a system for retrieving a contact in an electronic device. When a user retrieves contact information, gesture data input by the user on a keyboard layout can be accepted, and the contact information is retrieved according to the gesture data with reference to the keyboard layout. During use, the user only needs to keep touching a keyboard and continuously sweeping a retrieval code letter or digit sequence on the keyboard and corresponding to the contact information to be retrieved, neither needing to click keys on the keyboard layout one by one, nor needing to memorize a preset gesture, so that an information retrieving process is quicker and more convenient. When the contact information is retrieved, a degree of matching between contact information and the gesture data is obtained, and a contact to be retrieved is determined according to the matching degree, so that the contact is retrieved more accurately, and a requirement of the user is better met.</p> |
