The present invention provides an anode active material comprising a lithium metal oxide represented by chemical formula 1 and a coating layer coated on the surface of the lithium metal oxide, wherein the coating layer includes a conductive material and an adhesive polymer; a manufacturing method thereof; and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same. In chemical formula 1, LixMyOz, M is one or more kinds of elements selected separately from the group consisting of Ti, Sn, Cu, Pb, Sb, Zn, Fe, In, Al and Zr; x, y and z are determined by the oxidation number of M. The anode active material according to the present invention can improve the adhesiveness to a current collector and the electroconductivity by including the coating layer including a conductive material and an adhesive polymer on the surface of the lithium metal oxide, thereby improving the high-rate properties of the lithium secondary battery. |
