A cathode active material of the present invention may contains lithium metal oxide with the internal porosity of 3-8% and the average particle diameter (D50) of 5-12 um. According to the present invention, cathode adhesive force can be remarkably improved using a small amount or the same amount of binders necessary for producing cathode slurry by containing high density lithium metal oxide, and high rate properties of a secondary battery can be improved by reducing the average particle diameter of the lithium metal oxide.
