<p>These devices each have a first storage unit in which operation information for each device is stored in advance. This display device has a second storage unit for storing operation information, and a display unit for displaying the operation information in the second storage unit. This server has a third storage unit for storing new operation information. This main system, which comprises the display device and the devices, queries the server as to whether new operation information corresponding to the operation information stored in the first storage unit of a device exists in the third storage unit. If the desired operation information exists in the third storage unit according to the query result, the main system receives the operation information from the server and updates the operation information to be displayed on the display unit. New operation information can thus be displayed in such a manner that the capacity of the storage unit of the display device is not restrained by operation information.</p> |
