PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoding method and an image decoding device capable efficiently processing image information.SOLUTION: The image decoding method is a method to decode images of each encoded unit. Each encoded unit includes plural predetermined blocks which are one ore more conversion units. The image decoding method includes: a decoding step (S601) to acquire a code string in which brightness data and color difference data of the plural conversion units are frequency-converted, encoded and set in a predetermined blocks to decode the brightness data and the color difference data; and an inverse frequency conversion step (S602) to subject the decoded brightness data and the decoded color difference data to an inverse frequency conversion. |
