PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which generation of bubbles in adhesive material caused by a light shielding layer of a cover substrate is suppressed to suppress deterioration of a polarizer.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a display panel 35a having a polarizer 36 attached on at least one surface thereof; a touch panel 20a stuck on the polarizer 36 side of the display panel 35a; and a cover substrate 41 which is stuck on the touch panel 20a via an ultraviolet ray curable adhesive material 45, and in which a frame-shaped light shielding layer 42 is provided in a peripheral end part on the adhesive material 45 side. The touch panel 20a includes: a transparent substrate 11b, provided on the adhesive material 45 side, for absorbing an ultraviolet ray; and a touch panel layer 16a provided on the polarizer 36 side with respect to the transparent substrate 11b.
