PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can provide source information on a plurality of connected video sources to a user by using a video signal inputted from an external video source and to provide a control method of the display device.SOLUTION: A display device 100 includes: a display section 110; a video reception section 120 which receives a video signal from a plurality of video sources; a main control section 130 which controls a main video corresponding to one of the plurality of received video signals to be generated; and a graphic control section 140 which controls the source information on the video source connected via the video reception section 120 to be generated and controls a video corresponding to the received video signal to be displayed in the source information.
