PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel technique for reducing an oxide, which allows a reduction reaction of an oxide to proceed at a lower temperature and thus enhances energy efficiency and productivity.SOLUTION: A method for producing a reduced product according to the present invention, in which a reduced product is obtained by reducing at least part of an oxide in a state where an organic compound and the oxide are heated, includes a reduction step of bringing the organic compound in a molten state into contact with the oxide.
