PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking system capable of informing a user of a locking state by a radio communication device.SOLUTION: A radio key 5 accepts an operation for locking/unlocking on a lock button 51 or an unlock button 52, and radio-transmits operation information. An ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 10 of a vehicle 1 receiving the operation information controls behavior of a key mechanism 13 to lock/unlock a door, and transmits a locking/unlocking state of the door as state information to the radio key 5. After unlocking the door in response to the operation information received from the radio key 5, the ECU 10 locks the door when predetermined time passes. At this time, if the ECU 10 locks the door after the predetermined time passes, the ECU 10 transmits the state information on locking/unlocking to the radio key 5. The ECU 10 accepting an operation for locking/unlocking at a key operation section 12 of the vehicle 1 controls the behavior of the key mechanism 13 to lock/unlock the door, and transmits the state information to the radio key 5.
