PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pharmaceutical compositions for treatment of scleroderma.SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical compositions alleviate symptoms of scleroderma and contain as an active constituent Streptolysin O, which is one of a group of filterable hemolysins derived from Group A &bgr;-hemolytic streptococci and is a 60-kD peptide. The amount of the streptolysin O in the pharmaceutical compositions is preferably within the range from 0.0032 to 50 units. The pharmaceutical compositions are preferably administered sublingually.
