Provided is a method for reactivating a used hydrogenation treatment titania catalyst, wherein the hydrogenation treatment titania catalyst is produced by supporting a catalyst component on a titania carrier and the used catalyst is one which has been used in a hydrogenation treatment of a hydrocarbon oil and therefore has a reduced catalytic activity, said method enabling the catalytic activity of the used catalyst to be increased to a level that is almost the same as that of a newly prepared, unused fresh titania catalyst. A method for reactivating a used hydrogenation treatment titania catalyst, wherein the hydrogenation treatment titania catalyst is produced by supporting a catalyst component on a titania carrier and the used catalyst is one which has been used in a hydrogenation treatment of a hydrocarbon oil and therefore has a reduced catalytic activity, said method comprising: a coke removal step of heating the used catalyst under an oxygen-containing gas atmosphere to remove a carbonaceous component; an impregnation step of impregnating a carbonaceous-component-removed catalyst obtained in the coke removal step with a sugar-containing solution (i.e., a solution containing a sugar); and a drying step of drying a sugar-impregnated catalyst produced in the impregnation step to produce a catalyst on which the sugar is supported. |
