The device has a sensor device (4) for detecting ambient information with an electronic control device (3). A trajectory produces control signals in order to feed in a motor car (1) along the trajectory automatically in a longitudinal direction and in a transverse direction. The trajectory is formed by shunting components where the shunting components are terminated by stopping the motor car. The control device is formed to output information about an end of actual predetermined ranges of shunting components to a driver of the motor car via a user interface (9).
