<p>The objective of the present invention is to achieve versatility and reduced costs by means of a configuration whereby a device that is formed in a molding machine and that performs a pressurization process can easily be switched between an electrical pressurization unit that is driven by an electrical drive source and a hydraulic pressurization unit that is driven by a hydraulic drive source, in accordance with the type of molded body being manufactured, for example. This molding machine is equipped with a cylindrical injection sleeve (12) to which molten metal is supplied and an injection plunger (13) that is advanced/retracted within the injection sleeve (12), and a molding material is injected by means of the forward progress of the injection plunger (13) so as to fill a cavity in a closed mold. In addition, this molding machine is equipped with an injection piston (14) that moves the injection plunger (13) forward, and an injection manifold (15) that houses the injection piston (14) such that the injection piston can freely be advanced/retracted. In addition, the configuration is such that a hydraulic pressurization unit (70) and an electrical pressurization unit (50), which increase the pressure of the molding material that has been injected so as to fill the cavity in the mold, can be interchangeably attached to a pressurization unit attachment surface (40) provided on one surface of the injection manifold (15).</p> |
