The present invention relates to an apartment security system and a method thereof and an operating method of the apartment security system comprises; an operation recognizing step which recognizes a person in an operation sensor; a reader step which reads a terminal of a moving person by a reader if the moving person is recognized in the operation recognizing step; a resident determination step which determines the moving person as a resident if the terminal is determined as a resident terminal in the reader step; a visitor determination step which determines the moving person as a visitor if the terminal is determined as a visitor terminal in the reader step; an intruder determination step which recognizes the moving person as an intruder if the terminal is not determined as the resident terminal or the visitor terminal. According to the present invention, whether the intruder exists within a resident traffic line such as an underground parking lot or a playground within an apartment complex or not is checked or how many visitors exist is checked. The present invention provides the dissident and the visitor with convenience capable of automatically controlling the operation of an elevator and a gate.
