PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide smaller dosage forms of solid oral formulation of valsartan, which is difficult to formulate and allows only large dosage forms to be formed with conventional methods.SOLUTION: The present invention is concerned with solid oral dosage forms comprising a) an active component selected from valsartan and optionally HCTZ, and b) pharmaceutically acceptable additives suitable for preparation of the solid oral dosage forms with compression methods.
