A method and apparatus for observing a biological microelectromechanical systems response to a fluid including a housing comprising a biological microelectromechanical observation material, a signal analyzer in communication with the material, and a fluid preparation device positioned to allow fluid to flow to the surface, wherein the fluid comprises a component from a subterranean formation.
