摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the worsening of exhaust emission and fuel consumption when detecting the abnormality of a variation, and to identify which injector is abnormal when detecting the abnormality of the variation.SOLUTION: A detection device for the abnormality of a variation in an air-fuel ratio between cylinders is provided for a multicylinder internal combustion engine having an intake-passage-injection injector and a cylinder-injection injector in each cylinder. It detects a parameter correlated with the degree of the variation in the air-fuel ratio between the cylinders, and executes first determination to determine the existence or not of an imbalance on the basis of the detected parameter. It also detects the amount of PMs in exhaust gas, and executes second determination to identify which is abnormal, the intake-passage-injection injector or the cylinder-injection injector.
