PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving assistance device and a program that are capable of performing a warning responding to drowsiness and the like at a proper timing when a driver can take a rest and the like in response to the warning.SOLUTION: A driving assistance device; if a vehicle is traveling on a highway or a motorway, assesses whether the vehicle is positioned within a predetermined distance (A) from a rest area or a target interchange which is positioned in the middle of a route guided by route navigation; assesses whether a driver is in a sleepy state or a tired state; and if an assessment is made that the vehicle is positioned within the predetermined distance (A) and that the driver is in a sleepy state or a tired state, performs a warning recommending rest for the driver. |
