摘要 <p>1526094 Automatic control INSTITUTE FRANCAIS DU PETROLE 28 Aug 1975 [4 Sept 1974] 35556/75 Heading G3N [Aso in Division B4-5] A roving of glass filaments, impregnated with curable resin, is continuously shaped to a longitudinally curved and cured elongate member, in passage along a curved shaping channel defined between a stationary die member 2 and a die member 3 which is drivingly rotated relative thereto, and curing of the resin in the channel is maintained at a constant rate by means measuring the torque exerted by the roving on the die member 2, and automatically mechanically or electrically acting to maintain the torque constant, by increasing the speed at which a driving motor rotates the member 3 upon an increase in the torque, and vice versa. The torque may be measured by a strain gauge (not shown) connected between the die member 2 and a machine frame 1, or, as in the embodiment, is measured via a member 2A to which the die member 2 is attached, and which is arcuately displaceable on roller bearings 21 by the torque, against the bias of an adjustable spring 22 connected to the machine frame 1, the displacement being transmitted via a toothed sector 26 of the member 2A, a toothed wheel 25, Cardan joints 28, 29 and a shaft 32, to a means 30 controlling the speed of a D.C. motor 19 which rotates the die member 3 through a speed variator 20. The control means 30 comprises an auto transformer 31, having a primary winding connected to an alternating current supply at 35,36 which is also connected to the input 37, 38 of the inductor of the motor 19 through a diode bridge rectifier 39. The voltage in the secondary winding of the transformer is varied by the angular position of the shaft 32, which is a function of the torque exerted in the die member 2, and is transmitted to the armature of the motor 19 at 43, 44 via bridge rectifier 42, so that the speed of the motor 19 is altered substantially in proportion to the torque upon the die member 2.</p>
