<p>The masonry walling is made up from hollow blocks, with a mortar bed with hydraulic binders and fine-granule aggregate applied on top of each layer. An open-meshed strip (4) of plastic or glass fibre is first laid on a layer of hollow blocks (1). The mesh width (6) does not exceed the coarsest granule size of the aggregate (5), in the mortar bed (3) which is applied on top of the meshed strip. The strip can be continuously laid over the whole length of a layer of blocks. Granule size is pref. 0-5 mm with a mesh width of 5 mm.</p> |
