<p>The invention relates to the field of construction and is directed at producing a polymer profile for window and door units, said profile having stable antibacterial properties due to the addition of silver ions (a silver-containing substance) directly into an extruder, which allows for the even distribution of the silver ions in the profile mass, resulting in antibacterial properties for the entire profile which last for the duration of the term of use thereof since the silver ions are not only on the surface of the profile, but also inside it (the ions do not rub off as they would, were the silver ions applied as a coating to the surface of the profile). This technical result is achieved in a method for manufacturing a PVC profile for window and door units, in which dry components of a composition are mixed in a mixing apparatus, the resulting dry mixture is sent to a vibrating screen for sifting, and then the dry mixture sits for at least one day prior to being sent to an extruder, wherein a silver-containing substance is added during extrusion of the dry mixture.</p> |
