PURPOSE: A Salix pseudo-lasiogyne extract or a compound isolated from the extract is provided to prevent or treat obesity, overweight, hyperlipidemia, and combination thereof. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating obesity, overweight, or hyperlipidemia contains a C1-4 alcohol extract of Salix pseudo-lasiogyne. The composition contains one or more selected from the group consisting of a hexane fraction, a CHCl_3 fraction, an EtOAc fraction, and n-BuOH fraction of the alcohol extract. A composition for preventing or treating obesity, overweight, or hyperlipidemia contains a compound denoted by chemical formula as an active ingredient. A supplementary health food for preventing or treating obesity, overweight, or hyperlipidemia contains the composition. |
