An evaporator is provided to improve the heat radiating performance and easily detect the leakage of a refrigerant by protruding a lower end of partition walls to the lower part of header tanks. An evaporator comprises plural tubes forming a refrigerant passage to be arranged in a line, plural fins formed between tubes, a pair of header tanks, and insertion grooves(15). The header tanks includes the refrigerant passage by forming plural tube insertion holes(16) wherein two ends of the tubes are fixed, and at least one partition wall(12) for dividing a space by the refrigerant passage. The insertion grooves are continuously formed longitudinally on the header tanks. The partition walls, whose lower end is inserted into the insertion grooves, are protruded on the outside of the header tanks, and have a junction part. |
