A permanent magnet direct current motor rotor. Slot wedges (20) are mounted in a slot opening (16) of the rotor, each of the slot wedges (20) has at least two longitudinal slits (21) thereon, and the at least two longitudinal slits (21) do not penetrate through each other and do not penetrate through the ends of the slot wedge (20). A permanent magnet direct current motor comprising a permanent magnet direct current motor rotor as stated above.
