PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker more improved in taste of cooked rice.SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: a pot-heating device heating a pot; a hollow lid capable of opening or closing the upper opening part of a rice cooker body; an inner lid attached to the lid so that the upper opening part of the pot can be sealed off; a pressure adjusting valve adjusting the pressure inside the pot by opening or closing a steam-discharging hole made in the inside lid; and a rice-cooking control part controlling heating motion by the pot-heating device and pressure adjustment motion by the pressure-adjusting valve to perform a rice-cooking process including a preheating process, a temperature-raising process, a boiling-retaining process and a steaming process. The rice-cooking control part releases the steam-discharging hole by the pressure-adjusting valve so that water in the pot bumps at least once after making the pressure in the pot higher than atmospheric pressure by blocking the steam-discharging hole via the pressure-adjusting valve, in the temperature-raising process to control the pressure in the pot to be reduced. |
